Merthyr Valleys Homes Grants and Sponsorship Scheme 2022/23
Merthyr Valleys Homes want to support members of our communities who provide opportunities, projects, and activities within Merthyr Tydfil. If you can deliver benefits to the community including that bring people together and help people to build on their skills, confidence, and wellbeing in an inclusive way, we would love to hear from you. Who can apply? You can apply if you are a group of volunteers, a community group, social enterprise, or charity undertaking a community project within Merthyr Tydfil. If you are a group, enterprise, or charity you will need to have a bank account and a governing document.
What funding is available to me?
Small projects: Applications are welcomed from small informal groups of volunteers without a constitution. Funding will be considered up to £500. Monies are not sent directly to your group but MVH will pay a supplier direct from the invoices provided in the quotes.
Community Groups/ Social Enterprises/ Charities: Applications are welcomed from organisations who are delivering projects and activities within Merthyr Tydfil. Funding will be considered up to £3,000 grant or up to £500 sponsorship.
What can I apply for?
Here are some examples of projects that have been funded:
- Equipment and materials that are needed to deliver the project or activity.
- Venue hire to hold community events.
- Tutor costs for taster sessions or training.
- Projects that promote physical and mental health and well-being.
- Environmental projects that improve the look of the areas and enhance skills within the community.
- Combats social isolation and loneliness in an age group.
- Strengthen community links and provide opportunity for new members of the community to build new friendships.
- Costs to help new community groups form.
- Community events
