Programme Director Accredited Learning Academi* - Cardiff

 

·        Salary: £40,000 per annum

·        Hours: 37 per week

·        Term: Immediate start available / Permanent (subject to ongoing funding)

Role Outline: Based at the Wales Millennium Centre (WMC), this role will lead an innovative collaboration between the WMC, CAVC and MAC as delivery partners to realise our ambition to create the number one further education training programme for the creative industries in Wales, which will encompass accredited learning in creative media, film production, games design, performance and music. The role will be responsible for leading on the creation of an engaging curriculum and an environment for learning that is empowering, inclusive and holistic and will balance the emotional and learning needs of students, to inspire and enable them to realise their full potential. As the ideal candidate, you will be an experienced change/project manager at a senior level, with a solid understanding of education frameworks (specifically BTEC). Experience in one of the creative industries or development of learning within them is essential for this role.

 

Parenting Workers – Cardiff and Swansea

  • Salary: £25,000 per annum - Parenting Worker (Swansea)
  • Salary: £30,000 per annum– Parenting Worker / Co-ordinator (Cardiff)
  • Hours/Days: 37 per week
  • Term: Immediate start date available / Permanent (subject to ongoing funding)
  • Closing date: 13 May 2022

Role Outline: To facilitate MAC’s parenting programmes across delivery areas, providing support and interventions to a case load of vulnerable children, young people (CYP) and families/carers. This will include MAC’s Parallel Lives, 7-week therapeutic support programme, which works with families to make commitments to work together to recognise individual behaviours and the impact they have on others and to tackle adolescent to parent violence in its many forms. The Cardiff based co-ordinator will have additional responsibilities, including leading, promoting and developing MAC’s portfolio of parenting programmes, case allocation and supervision of a small team of parenting workers. The ideal candidates will demonstrate strong facilitation skills, have a solid understanding of safeguarding and risk management and have experience working with a caseload of vulnerable CYP and their families. Theses posts are funded by the Violence Prevention Unit.

Social Media, Graphics Design and Business Admin Support - Cardiff

We are actively recruiting young people aged 16-20 for these roles and encourage applicants looking for their first step on their career ladder.

·        Hours: 37 per week (part time available)


·        Term: Immediate start available /Fixed term for up to 12 months

·        Closing Date: 13 May 2022

 

Role outline: Working within the heart of the organisation, as a social media, graphic design and business administrator, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day support of the organisation by providing wide-ranging, invaluable and interesting support to the whole MAC team. You will help design innovative and engaging creative content including recruitment campaigns, social media content, project documentation and other promotional materials for publication. You will have the opportunity to gain or further develop key business skills with a comprehensive, bespoke training and induction

Weapons Worker – Swansea

·        Salary: £23,000 per annum

·        Hours: 37 per week

·        Term: Immediate start available / Permanent (subject to ongoing funding)

·        Closing date: 13 May 2022

Role Outline:  As part of the Weapons Team, you will be delivering interventions to reduce weapon related harm. As part of this innovative team, you will be providing support to children and young people (CYP), either as victims of/or users of weapons. This includes supporting CYP, who may have attended Morriston Hospital through violence.

 

Custody Suite Support – Merthyr and Cardiff

 

·        Salary: £24,000 per annum

·        Hours: 37 per week

·        Term: Immediate start available / Fixed term until 31 March 2023 (in the first instance, with the possibility of project extension subject to confirmation of funding)

·        Closing date: 27 May 2022

Role Outline: As part of C.S.S, you will be providing support to children and young people (CYP), across the SWP force area, who have been arrested and brought to a custody suite. Your role will be to raise awareness of appropriate support services that are available post custody. You will be responsible for assessing all eligible CYP, to engage with wider statutory services, seeking outcomes that are person-centred and appropriate for the individual; supporting them to do better, and promoting their equality, diversity and rights at all times. The ideal candidate will be a qualified youth worker (or similar), who is resilient, highly skilled and motivated, with an understanding of the many issues and challenges facing vulnerable CYP, particularly those that can lead to further involvement in the Youth Justice System. These roles are funded by the Violence Prevention Unit.
