organisations in Wales.
Designing Digital Services is a practical course facilitated
through the Newid programme, funded by the Welsh Government. It
aims to empower third sector organisations in Wales to digitally transform
services using the Service Design methodology.

design, test and develop new digital/hybrid services or rethink existing

Small Grants - £1,000 - £10,000
The aim of this fund is to ensure that comic relief grassroots funding is reached by the community groups leading change and growth in their locality, enabling them to make positive changes in response to the specific needs of the community.

ELIGIBILITY
Organisations with a socially focused purpose and an income of less than £250,000 are eligible to apply. There is £900,000 available in total grants.
TIMEFRAME
The application window is open from 19 April 2022, closing 27 June 2022.
The earliest activity can begin is the 22 August 2022 ending no later than 30 August 2023.
The National Lottery Community Fund Sustainable Steps Wales: Action Grants, will award grants from £10,001 to £350,000 that address climate change in communities and help people live in a more sustainable way.
Suitable for: Voluntary or community organisations, charities
Funding size: £10,001 to £350,000 - projects can be up to 5 years
Total available: £3 million, around 10 to 20 projects
Application deadline: You must send us your expression of interest form
by 5pm on Thursday 21st July 2022. If your idea is
accepted, we will send you a longer application form asking for more
information about your project and organisation. You need to return this to us
to us by 5pm on Thursday 22nd September 2022.

About Cancer Aid
We believe no one should face cancer alone. We
provide support to cancer patients, carers and anyone who has been affected by
a cancer diagnosis. We are an independent local charity, at the heart of the
Merthyr Tydfil community. We provide practical and emotional support to
patients from diagnosis to living with, and beyond cancer. We also provide
family bereavement support. We are looking to appoint a trustee to join
our Board in a voluntary capacity to act as our secretary and to help continue
our mission to support cancer patients and carers living within Merthyr Tydfil
as we come out of the coronavirus pandemic.
About our Board
We have a collaborative Board of friendly and committed trustees, who, with our principal manager and staff, have established a charity that supports cancer patients and families at the time they need it most. As we move on from the pandemic, we are looking for a Board Secretary to join our team and support our mission.
About the Secretary role
We wish to appoint a Board Secretary who can draw
on their skills and experience to both act as a trustee and to support our Board
in a secretarial role. This includes supporting our board meetings and taking
accurate minutes.
The expected time commitment is a minimum of 7 board
meetings including an AGM, in addition to attending other meetings or events
when required. Preparation is required for reading reports and meeting papers
ahead of any scheduled meeting.

Catalyst Cymru:
Broadening Horizons provides support to micro, small and medium sized heritage
organisations and organisations running a heritage project to broaden their income
streams and reach new audiences and people.
Places are
still available for the free coaching support strand of the new project.
Four days of
in-depth coaching support is available for organisations on topics such as
governance, business planning and income generation to help improve
organisations’ resilience and the ability to deal with change.
Funded by the
National Lottery Heritage Fund, WCVA is running Catalyst Cymru: Broadening
Horizons in partnership with Cwmpas, formerly known as Wales Cooperative
Centre. The project is also supported by Ethnic Minorities & Youth
Support Team Wales, Disability Wales and Pride Cymru.
