Parents Matter Cymru”
are looking for people to help support parents following separation and help
them to maintain a relationship with their child/children.
Are you someone
who likes to listen? Can you empathise with our service users who are going
through some tough times?
All roles
are primarily home-based, and contact is via our virtual systems.
We are
looking for:
Helpline Volunteers to take calls and collect initial data from callers
Outbound Callers, to gather information on our Service User Packs, to ensure
we can fully understand their situation.
Emotional Support Buddy, maintaining contact by phone/text and you can also do
this in-person in our face-to-face meetings and social events.
Requirements are:
· Be a good listener and be able to
have empathy
· Be able to volunteer a minimum of
four hours a week.
· Be able to question and record
answers (for some roles).
· Have access to the internet.
· Respect client confidentiality and
safeguarding for all concerned.

This redevelopment of the Pontypridd YMCA building will become a centre for Culture Creativity Arts that will amplify the energy and vitality of the South Wales Valleys and it is set to open early 2023.

You will be undertaking a variety of roles as required to meet operational needs, acting as the primary point for solving customer and staff issues, acting as the key holder for opening and closing the centre and taking responsibility for ensuring the centre remains safe, smart and fully functioning during opening hours.
Salary: £22,425 per annum
Location: YMa Pontypridd
Hours: 37.5 hours per week*

Start Date: Tuesday 3rd of January
*requests for flexible working and part time hours will be considered. Exact days to be confirmed with the successful applicant. The nature of this role requires working on a rota basis to include daytimes, evenings and weekends
