Together TV has launched its Green Challenge Toolkit. People can register on individual basis for free basil seeds, a weekly calendar, recipe cards, exclusive tutorials and friendly tips on how to grow them – and cook them too! For registrants under 18 years old, we recommend what many schools are currently doing: asking a child’s family member to register on their behalf, so they will be able to follow the journey together.  Visit the link below for details of how to register.

Vodafone Support to Tackle Digital Exclusion

 Vodafone are inviting charities to apply for free mobile connectivity to help tackle digital exclusion. They can provide free Vodafone SIMS, each loaded with 20GB data plus unlimited calls and texts for 6 months. You can use these however you like - for example, to help stay in touch with service users, or deliver training to people in need. Find out more and apply here.

 

Social Enterprise, Tourism and Sport Capital Grant from MTCBC Now Open

The proposed SETS Capital Grant has been developed to assist eligible applicants in developing their services further and will consider such projects as capital works, large infrastructure purchases and in some cases the purchase of much needed equipment... the SETS Capital Grant will not finance any works relating to putting in adaptions to the Covid-19 pandemic or any form of feasibility study aligned to potential capital works.

 All applicants will need to use the CRF@merthyr.gov.uk email address when sending through applications and supporting documentation.

Magic Little Grants 2021

 If you are a charity or constituted community group with an annual income under £250,000 you are eligible to benefit from a Magic Little Grant through Localgiving's partnership with People’s Postcode Lottery.

 It takes less than 15 minutes to complete our due diligence and application process. Successful groups will benefit from a £500 grant and a free year's membership with Localgiving to start fundraising through our online fundraising platform. 

 We’ve already funded 150 charities and community groups in Wales through the fund this year and still have 150 grants to distribute. The deadline for applications is 31st October 2021 and grants are provided on a first come, first served basis so with 8 themes to choose from, don’t delay in making your application!

National Emergency Trust - Funding Opportunity

 National Emergencies Trust - Funding Opportunity: Charities are being invited to apply for up to £10,000 in match-funding through a new £1.2m pot from the National Emergencies Trust. The charity has launched its Local Action Fund to support community and voluntary organisations whose finances have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic. The NET said it would match donations up to a total of £10,000 per charity

Sign up to National Databank

 Opportunity to sign up as a National Databank pilot member: 

The Good Things Foundation are working with Virgin Media O2 to distribute £12.5 million of data, helping to tackle the digital divide and data poverty. The pilot of the National Databank has started with 10 community organisations taking part across the UK. They are now aiming for a UK-wide rollout in November. If you would like to apply to be part of that roll out, you can join as a member of the Online Centres Network. It’s free to join and you gain access to free learning resources and other opportunities to apply for funding. Here’s a link if you want to register to join the Online Centres network.
