Volunteers' Week - Corporate Volunteering - What it is ??

 

 

Corporate volunteering (also called employee volunteering) can be defined as workplace-based initiatives where employers provide support or encouragement for its employees to volunteer for the local community.

Corporate volunteering is a way for businesses or third sector organisations to contribute to the community. They often encourage their employees to volunteer by allowing paid time off which they use to volunteer at either a charity of their choice or one nominated by the employer

Alternatively if your organisation would like a small team of volunteers to help out on a 'one off' basis, for example, painting, gardening or fundraising then again please contact Fran.

Shelter Cymru - Digital Developer Vacancy

 

Shelter Cymru exists to defend the right to a safe home and fight the devastating impact the housing emergency has on people and society. Through their campaigns they seek to identify the root causes of the housing emergency.

Volunteers' Week 2022 - Age Connects

                                

Age Connects Morgannwg is a charity for older people living in Rhondda Cynon Taf, Bridgend and Merthyr Tydfil. Since 1977, we've been working to get older people the help they want, when they want it.

We offer a wide range of information, advice and services to help older people stay living independently for as long as possible. Our work is designed to put you first and make life easier. Our dedicated staff and volunteer team offer independent and confidential information, advice and support on a variety of issues such as care, legal, health, housing, income and benefits, consumer, leisure, learning and work.

VOLUNTEERS' WEEK - INTERESTED IN VOLUNTEERING ??? COME ALONG TO THIS EVENT TOMORROW

Tomorrow is the last day of Volunteers' Week 2022. To end this fantastic Week, Voluntary Action Merthyr Tydfil has organised a Volunteering Fayre running from 10am - 4pm in the main Precinct in the Town Centre (situated by Boots and Wilkos)

12 voluntary organisations will be attending and will be speaking to members of the public about what volunteering opportunities they have. Please come along to find out more.

Voluntary Action Merthyr Tydfil along with Tydfil Training and Wales Coop (now called Cwmpas) are holding a Hackathon event from 10am – 4pm on Thursday 9th June at Treharris Boys and Girls Club.
