COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED to support vulnerable people during the Corona Virus Pandemic.
The Volunteer Centre in Merthyr Tydfil is encouraging people to register here so we can match your skills, interests and experience to the COVID 19 community need as it develops.
We are looking for people to get involved and act as Community Support Volunteers who are able to help others who have no-one else to turn to. Imagine having to self-isolate when you have no friends or family you can turn to for help and support.
Frances Barry from the Volunteer Centre will contact you to discuss what roles you are happy to do, for example, shopping, driving, telephone befriending. We will then refer you to community groups who may be in desperate need for help.
