Queen's Award for Voluntary Service

Calling all voluntary sector groups in Wales… nominate a deserving voluntary group that provides an excellent service to support their community!

The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service (QAVS) is the highest award given to volunteer groups across the UK - it’s the equivalent of an MBE. Any group doing volunteer work that provides a social, economic or environmental service to the local community can be nominated for the award; what they all have in common is their passion to support their community.

We know that there are volunteer groups doing fantastic work in Wales and we’d really like your help in letting them know about the The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service so that Welsh Volunteers can get the recognition they deserve. In 2019 the Award was presented to 281 diverse groups of volunteers but not very many in Wales, so if you know of an exceptional voluntary group please let them know about the Queens Award for Voluntary Service.

Visit Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service website, https://qavs.culture.gov.uk/ have a look at the eligibility criteria and guidance documents and nominate before 13th September.
