The Welsh Charity Awards 2019 - Outstanding Trustees Award

WCVA has launched the Welsh Charity Awards - brand new Awards, organised by WCVA. They recognise and celebrate the fantastic contribution charities, community groups, not-for-profits and volunteers make to Wales.

Children and Young People Fund - closing date 31 October 2019

The Children and Young People Fund is open to applications again.

We are looking for applications for innovative projects that will work to improve and raise the aspirations of disadvantaged children and young people in communities across Wales.

 

Grants of between £1,000 & £10,000 are available.

Third Sector Support Wales - Impact events

The next round of our Engagement Events will help you to identify, plan and communicate the positive difference your organisation makes to society.

Impact practice encompasses all the activities you do to focus on impact. It’s about learning how to best serve the people you support. This means planning what difference you want to make; collecting the right information to know if you’re achieving your goals; assessing what impact you’re having; and learning from the results to improve your work.

Wherever you are on your impact journey, these events will offer you the opportunity to find out about the support that is available from Third Sector Support Wales and the Inspiring Impact project, hear from experts in evaluation and share your experiences with other third sector organisations.

The events take place on the following dates and locations:

Grants of up to £15k available to small organisations working with: young offenders, prisoners and ex-prisoners, or young disadvantaged people, especially those at risk of criminal involvement

True Colours Trust

Grants of up to £10k to small charities and projects working to support disabled children and their families

How do you use technology to access information and learning for your organisation?

WCVA and your local County Voluntary Council (CVC) would like to hear your views on how you use technology to access information and learning to support your organisation.  
The survey will help us to understand how people use digital and online services so that we can make them better and easier to use. We also want to give you the opportunity to be more involved in the design of our services.

The survey seeks to understand how people use digital technology to access information and learning to support the growth and future resilience of their organisation. Taking part is your chance to shape and improve the digital services provided by WCVA and your local County Voluntary Council (CVC). The survey will help us to:

·         Know more about how you access information and learning online

·         Understand how you use technology

·         Target resources towards issues that matter to you

·         Find out what helps you to succeed

Answering the survey could also get you thinking about how you use digital in your own organisation and what areas need attention, while also giving you the chance to share your views, challenges and pain points.

Environment/Green Spaces Forum Field Trip

VAMT's Environment/Green Spaces Forum is organising a Field Trip on Friday 4 October 2019 to visit several community and local authority run green spaces within the Merthyr Tydfil County Borough.

This will provide an ideal opportunity to meet others involved in green space management and see a selection of green spaces at various stages of development.  The number and location of sites to visit will be confirmed closer to the event. Pre-booking is essential and spaces are limited to three per group/organisation.  To book please email Hilary.edwards@vamt.net
